The Reflection. To the painter.

With affection
One regards the reflection

Of all there is that one sees
And with selection
One hopes for perfection
But alas, the reflection can tease.
One can lose direction
Whilst considering reflection
And find it is hard to please.
As all too often, with inspection,
One, with the reverse, disagrees.
Not needing correction
But rather protection
As the same is never the same with ease
Because the truth remains with the reflection
And with circumspection
The reverse in reflection
Gives a different perspective
Whilst viewing the mirror image
As the objective
Not quite the reverse in detection
But rather a resurrection
Of similar, not exact,
Is there to be seized.

A Flower
It is a happy hour to be a flower and fill the world with colour.
Without our presence on this earth the world would be much duller.
We always know that as we grow we add a perfume to the air.
It is suffice to show that beyond our glow a dewdrop is our tear.
We serve no purpose except to grace the sunny side of the earth's face
and from the soil without too much toil we radiate glory within our space.
